See you next week :)

Just a quick note to let everyone know that posts will resume next week. I haven't been feeling well up until today and with this weekend being Memorial Day and my birthday, I won't be posting until Monday.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Lynnderella Friday - Flat Irony and Have Your Cake and Eat it Blue Swatches

Hello everyone :)

It's time for another Lynnderella Friday! This week I tried something a little different on my social media accounts (instagram: @polishforthepeople and facebook: https://www.facebook.com/polishforthepeople) by asking followers which LE polish they'd like to see this week. I'm thinking of making this a monthly thing, but next time I'll start the poll the Monday beforehand ;). This week, Have Your Cake and Eat it Blue was the winner and I'm also going to show you Flat Irony. So keep reading if you're interested in checking out these two lovely nail polishes.

(Some products were provided for honest review)

First I'm going to show you the core collection polish I chose from Lynnderella, Flat Irony. Honestly, when I first saw this polish in the bottle quite a while ago, I wasn't even slightly interested, buuuut after seeing a few swatches of it on the nail itself, it was immediately added to my wishlist. It did not disappoint. Flat Irony is from Lynnderella's Fall in Love with New York collection and is described as "a burnt red orange microglitter with a subtle blackened base." The photos show two easy coats with top coat.

Next up is the reader's choice Limited Edition pick, Have Your Cake and Eat it Blue. Lynnderella's description of this one is: "Have Your Cake and Eat It Blue contains magenta and holographic microglitters with tonal accents in a cyan-shimmered translucent base." Such a gorgeous nail polish! Again, two easy coats with top coat.

There you have it! Two more truly gorgeous nail polishes from Lynnderella. If you're interested in purchasing Flat Irony or any other Lynnderella Core Polish, they are available through Lynnderella's Storenvy Shop or through the ebay store. If you're interested in purchasing Have Your Cake and Eat it Blue or any other currently available Limited Edition Lynnderella, check their ebay page often for auctions. I see there is about a day and a half left on their LAST BOTTLE of Have Your Cake and Eat it Blue. So hurry over if you're interested in that one! You can also check out Lynnderella's Facebook Page to keep up to date on new collections and releases.

Have a great weekend!

Glam Polish - Bam!, Crash!, and Zap! Swatches and Review

Hello lovely readers!

I've got some GORGEOUS polishes to show you today! They're from an Australian brand named Glam Polish, which has easily become a new favorite of mine. I've got the first three polishes from their original Knockout Collection to show you today (the other three will be up shortly).

I'm going to talk about the formula on these right away because it was the pretty much the same on all 3 polishes. They all had a fantastic formula with only 2-3 coats to get the full depth of the polish (Zap! is the only one I'd say definitely needs 3). And I'm talking thin coats, so don't let that 3 scare you! I had no streaking or unevenness whatsoever and they just had the perfect consistency. This collection is amazing and I can't recommend it highly enough! Onto the swatches:

First up, we have Crash!, a blue linear holo with holographic microglitter. You could easily get away with one coat on this one, but I used two plus top coat for the photos below. Gorgeous polish!

Next is Bam!, a turquoise linear holo. I loooove this one so much! Easily a favorite. This is two coats with top coat.

Last, but definitely not least is Zap!, a chartreuse linear holo. If you've never tried a nail polish in this color range, you need to try this one. It's gorgeous in person! This is 3 thin coats with top coat.

I can't say it enough: I am so impressed with these! I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for more Glam Polishes in the future. If you're interested in purchasing these shades, or any other gorgeous Glam Polishes, they are available here: http://glampolish.bigcartel.com/ for $9 - $12 each. I know they also just came out with a Knockout Collection Part II that I'm dying to try. Let me know what you think and if you have any Glam Polishes in your nail polish stash.

I'm working on a post on two of A. England's new polishes from their Rossetti's Goddess collection so stay tuned for that sometime this weekend and of course, I'll have my Lynnderella Friday post up tomorrow night :)

Jamberry Nail Lacquer - Kiss Swatch and Reveiw

Hello to my awesome readers!

Today I've got my first ever "mainstream" polish review for you. I'm sure everyone has heard of the brand Jamberry by now, but until recently I was somehow unaware that they sold nail polish and not just eg"wraps." I was given the oppertunity to try out one of their nail lacquers and decided to go for it. I picked a bright pink, of course, called Kiss. Keep reading to view the swatches, review, and a bonus mani using Kiss with Enchanted Polish To Die For.

Now onto my thoughts on the polish itself: It had an excellent formula and glided on the nail in two easy coats, but depending on application, you may only need one. I had no issues whatsoever with bubbling, streaking, pulling, etc. I also want to note that this polish lasted a day or two longer on me than most others I've tried (4-5 days) with minimal chipping. I really like this nail polish and will be using it a lot in the future. The only downside that I can comment on with this brand is that they have a pretty limited color selection and the choices they do have available are not the most unique. But if you're looking for a good basic creme polish (a staple in any nail polish collection), I'd say you can't really go wrong with Jamberry nail lacquer! Did I mention that I love this shade of pink? ;)

Now onto that bonus manicure I promised. This is two coats of Jamberry Kiss and one coat of Enchanted Polish To Die For with Seche Vite top coat. I love how it turned out!

If you're interested in purchasing Kiss or any other Jamberry Nail Lacquers, you can purchase them through Jamberry's website (dislosure: this is the consultant I received this polish for review through). You can also search for a consultant in your area if you'd prefer, directly through  http://www.jamberrynails.net/. The nail lacquers retail for $15 each or a set of 4 for $54.

I'll be back tomorrow (Thursday) with a few Glam Polish swatches and a review. So stay tuned!

Lynnderella Friday - Mystery Polish and Peripinkle

Hello beautiful ladies and gents!

Well, it's the end of the week again (Saturday :/ uh oh) and it's time for another post filled with beautiful Lynnderella swatch photos! Today I've got Peripinkle and a Mystery Polish to show you. Who's excited? I know I am ;)

(Some products were provided for review)

Recently Lynnderella began offering a new Special Edition nail polish named The Inner Mermaid (They also just announced Her Idea of Magic, another new Special Edition that was released yesterday! (5/8) I'm seriously drooling..). If you purchase The Inner Mermaid or any other "From the Vault" polish, you can purchase a "mystery Lynnderella". These are one of a kind "experiment" polishes that led to Limited and Special Editions. I'm thinking the one I received with The Inner Mermaid is possibly a slight variation of Lynnderella's Limited Edition polish, Sky-Blue-Pink Navy. It is a tad darker, though from what I can tell. It's has a dark navy blue base with lighter blue, pink, and purple shimmer. It is STUNNING! I had a hard time capturing how truly gorgeous it is on the nail so I'm including a bottle shot as well, because I think it will show you how truly gorgeous the shimmer in this is. It takes about 3-4 coats to reach full opacity and was very easy to work with, even if it was a little on the sheer side. I imagine it would also look gorgeous over a black or navy creme. BEAUTIFUL!

The other polish I have is Peripinkle (from Lynnderella's Spring Things collection), which I decided to layer over my Mystery Polish. I actually really like how it turned out. (Plus awesome coincidence, the polish of the week over on Lynnderella's Facebook page is Peripinkle). Peripinkle "contains assorted periwinkle and pink glitter in a clear blue shimmered base." This one is PACKED with glitter. The photos below are ONE coat BRUSHED ON over my mystery polish with top coat. That's right: one coat and no dabbing or placing glitters. Although it's not meant to be used that way, I bet you could get full nail coverage with this one is 3 coats or so. Fantastic glitter topper!

If you're interested in purchasing a mystery polish, visit Lynnderella's Facebook page: Love Lynnderella and check out their "From the Vault" options to purchase. Peripinkle is a core polish from their Spring Things collection, that is available through both their ebay store, as well as their storenvy shop for around $21. Let me know that you think! I'd love to hear your thoughts on these Lynnderella's as well as any others on your wish list :)

Stay tuned for a post on Jamberry Nail Polish and a few Glam Polish swatches in the next few days! Have a great weekend!

Lynnderella Friday - The Inner Mermaid

Bonjour mes jolies filles!

It's time for another edition of Lynnderella Friday! Today I have the new limited edition, numbered Lynnderella polish to show you: The Inner Mermaid. There were a total of 88 of these made and I have bottle number 25 (for my son's birthday 2-5 ;)). Here's the product information directly from Lynnderella's Facebook page, Love Lynnderella: "The Inner Mermaid is the newest member of our “From the Vault” series, and is based on Mermaids in Outer Space. It contains cobalt and cyan metallic and holographic glitters accented with our exclusive tiny silver holographic nanostars as well as silver and blue holographic mini stars in a cyan-shimmered subtle translucent blue base." This baby is a stunner! I was so excited to receive this and it did not disappoint!

Get ready to drool! ;)

Each swatch is one coat of The Inner Mermaid over 2 coats of OPI's Ogre-the-Top Blue. It required absolutely minimal application effort. I didn't need to place the glitters or even dab this at all to get the effect in my photos. I simply brushed it right on. Freaking fantastic formula! It's truly stunning in person. I'm so pleased with this one.

If you're interested in purchasing The Inner Mermaid, contact Lynnderella through their email address: lynnderellalacquer@gmail.com. They also currently have a limited number of mystery Lynnderella's for sale with any "From the Vault" purchase for an additional $25 (I will be showing you the beauty I received next week). Lynnderella's description: "These are more of the experiments that led to Limited and Special Editions. All are one-of-a-kind, but some may only have subtle differences from final versions." So I would definitely check those out as well if you're a Lynn fan :)

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! See you next week :)
